The Carmens play “The Scarlet Cape”

In between chasing goats and making cheese, I actually do have a hobby. Job. Career. Whatever.

I play piano.  And I teach; I’ve been an MTNA-certified piano instructor for 16 years.  I perform a few times a year. Now that I have a duet partner that keeps me on my toes, we sometimes get up to strange shenanigans.

Admittedly, it’s not the highest quality recording – my daughter was behind the camera, and that camera is almost the same age she is.

With that caveat – my simultaneous wishes for your enjoyment accompanied by my deepest apologies.

The Scarlet Cape, by Ralph Federer, published by Theodore Presser, and played in concert by the Carmens.

I am a farm-raised homeschooling mom. I take great joy in making nutritious food that inspires people to take seconds. Thirds, anyone? We are a God-fearing, Christ worshiping family that enjoys good friends and good eats. If the kitchen is clean and the living room carpet is visible, then that's a nice bonus.
