A friend of mine who lives in town started a collection of pictures of her house after they first moved in. Her goal was to have a picture of their home in every season, in every kind of weather.
The one shot that eluded her for years was that of their home with a rainbow over it.
It was raining the other day, and suddenly there was a cloud break. I glanced out the window, grabbed my camera, dashed for the driveway and caught this:
A minute or so later, the light changed, and it became even more intense:
And then I realized… it was a double bow!
Funny how the sky is a different color inside the bow than it is outside of it.
They were full bows, too – you could see the whole thing from the ground on the left to the ground on the right. My camera couldn’t capture the whole thing, though. Pictures don’t do it justice.
Talk about your double helpings of blessings!
I am so glad I ran, too – because ten minutes later, they were gone.
